More info

The catalogue accompanies the permanent exhibition at the Museum and Memorial in Sobibór, which by means of hundreds of artifacts, documents, photographs, and accounts recalls the memory of around 180,000 Jews – men, women, and children sentenced to cruel death because of their ancestry. The catalogue is an excellent compendium for the audience of the exhibition, allowing interested persons to deepen their knowledge about the history of the former German death camp in Sobibór. Each chapter of the publication is an extension of sixteen thematic panels around which the narrative is built. The catalogue contains extensive iconography: reproductions of historical photographs and documents, maps; photographs of the most significant objects and views of the exhibition.

The publication is available in 7 language versions: Polish, English, German, Dutch, Hebrew, Slovak, and Russian.

The printing of the catalogue was financed by the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany.
